From footage to finished film, in two days
Most people who edit in Premiere taught themselves, which means each of them invented a way of working that nobody else understands. It holds up until somebody has to open a colleague's project.
This is the course that gives a whole team the same way of working. You go through the entire process — folder structure on disk, project setup, import, cutting, trimming, sound, color, graphics, captions, export — and you leave able to finish a film on your own.

The honest bit
Two days is enough to make you self-sufficient, and it is not enough to make you fast. Speed comes from the habits you build in the weeks afterwards — which is why a follow-up day a couple of months later is usually worth more than a third day now.
Who it is for
Content producers, communication staff, photographers, journalists and anyone who is going to edit video in Premiere — including people who have been cutting for a while without ever learning the program properly.
Prerequisites
No Premiere experience needed. You should know your own Mac or PC well enough to make folders, copy files and use keyboard shortcuts. One machine per participant with Premiere installed — a free 7-day trial is fine.
Bring
Bring footage from a real job if you have it. You get professional footage from me either way, but your own material makes the questions specific.

Questions
About this course
How many people can attend?
It works best with a group small enough that I can look over every shoulder during the exercises. Usually 10-12 is the maximum, but if you can provide one or more assistants we can handle more. Tell me your number and I will say honestly whether it is too many.
Do we need to buy Premiere first?
No. A free 7-day Adobe trial gets you through the course. You do need one machine per participant — two people sharing a screen means one person learns.
We use Macs and PCs both. Is that a problem?
No. The course is taught so both keyboards are covered, including the shortcuts that behave differently.
Can this be one day instead?
It can, and then it becomes an introduction rather than a full course. More like a demo, less like a workshop. If the goal is that people can finish a film unaided, two days is the honest minimum.
